While the University is closed for the Christmas break, Network
Operations will be carrying out annual preventative maintenance
tasks, as well as certain software upgrades to the data network.
This work will result in some interruption to network services,
including Internet access during the times and dates outlined
below.

December 27:

09:00-17:00 hours - During this period NetOps will be performing
preventative maintenance that may result in brief interruptions in
network services at the Keele and Glendon campuses.


December 28:

09:00-17:00 hours - During this period NetOps will be performing
preventative maintenance that may result in brief interruptions in
network services at the Keele and Glendon campuses.

12:00-12:30 hours - NetOps will be carrying out software upgrades to
network equipment at the Glendon Campus.  All network services at
Glendon will be affected during this period.


December 29:

09:00-17:00 hours - NetOps will be performing preventative
maintenance, as well as software upgrades to network equipment at
the Keele and Glendon campuses.  This work will result in several
interruptions of various lengths.

06:00-20:00 - In order to ensure that certain central computing and
information services will not be negatively impacted by the
interruptions in network services, CNS will be shutting down these
services prior to the work on the network.  These services will
remain off-line until the network maintenance is completed.
Notifications about these outages will be distributed separately to
affected groups on campus.
