Chapter 26 of THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF MARK TWAIN -- the version edited by
Charles Neider contains a couple of bowling related stories. The
chapter begins with the quote "The proverb says that Providence protects
children and idiots. This is really true. I know it because I have
tested it." Twain discusses bowling hijinks in San Francisco
and years later at Bateman's Point near Newport, Rhode Island.
