Hi Jeffrey,

I've seen the UC edition of Huck Finn and thought it, like their Moby Dick,
quite fine-looking. I usually teach Huck out of HM's Riverside edition;
it's cheaper than the UC, lacks the overbearing annotations of the Norton,
and is formatted for much easier reading and note-taking than the Penguin.
I considered ordering the UC edition last time, but decided that it wasn't
fair of me to make the choice for my students in favor of aesthetics over
money. I.e., No matter how much I might prefer a sexy edition of Huck Finn
to three slices of pizza, I could not feel entirely justified in imposing
my values on a classful of still-growing freshmen. 8^)

Dan
